GoMacro MacroBar Organic Vegan Protein Bars – Banana + Almond Butter (2.3 Ounce Bars, 12 Count)

If you order these, please check the expiration date before opening! The first box we ordered we had no issues (I don't even remember looking at the expiration date). It was the PB flavor and they were great. This second box that just arrived expired the day we placed the order. How is that allowed? They arrived and my husband opened one. It was hard and dry so he decided to look on the back to discover it was expired. If we hadn't had the box the month before we might not have noticed a difference but there really is a big difference and it's disappointing they are selling expired bars! Amazon is shipping a replacement so we are just hoping it doesn't happen again.

I've tried just about every protein bar on the shelves. They are either too sweet, too salty, too bland. This one is amazing. I love these. When I am craving sweets, I just eat one of these. They have a softer texture, which I really like. The chocolate chips are tasty too, I can't believe this is vegan. The amazon price beats grocery stores. I've tried this one and the peanut butter plain one, which is slightly less sweet, and I've had the almond banana but that has bigger chunks of banana that I didn't care for. The only drawback on these is the carb count, but when I'm trying to watch carbs, I just eat a half of one and save it. Give these a shot. Theyre awesome!! Great for killing sugar cravings while staying clean.

I have ordered two boxes of this product. They taste good, they are organic and that is very important to me. But they have pieces of What appears to be shells from peanuts in them. A couple of times it really hurt my tooth and makes me a little afraid to eat these🙁 It does say that on the package that it may contain pit or nut shells. But having two boxes of these bars there's quite a bit in each bar. It is a little excessive in my opinion. Just a word of caution while eating these.

This product is sold & shipped by Amazon. While I've had no issues buying this product from a grocery store, it's not the same buying them on Amazon. I'm not sure how Amazon stores food products, but I reckon they do not have air conditioned facilities. Although the expiry date for the product is around Dec '19, the macrobar I received smells stale and tastes like an old product. I've cancelled by food-related subscriptions and I urge you to do the same if you want quality food products.

These are really good bars when you get them fresh - I used to buy them at my grocery store. I decided to purchase through Amazon on the subscription just because I thought it would be easier since I buy so many. I've been on the plan for 2 months now, and each batch I have received were very stale. Some had parts that were too hard to eat - I had to throw them away. Some also tasted funky. The price is no savings over what I pay retail one-by-one, so I'm going to go back to doing that. In fact, my grocery store sells them 2 for $4 sometimes, so then they're actually cheaper. And they are soft and actually taste good. I wish Amazon paid more attention to these sorts of details. They aren't cheap, and I have half a box now that I might just need to throw away. I do highly recommend them when they're fresh. Just purchase them somewhere else.
